CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield climbs - REUTERS

The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Wednesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.

The loonie was trading 0.3% lower at C$1.4352 to the greenback, or 69.68 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.4295 to 1.4357.

Canadian government 10-year bond yields rose 0.1 basis points to 2.995%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.2944%.

U.S. April crude futures fell 18 cents to $68.75 a barrel on Wednesday.
