Naira records first appreciation against US dollar - DAILY POST

The Naira recorded its first appreciation this week against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira strengthened to N1,441.4445 against the dollar on Thursday, up from N1,443.08 exchanged on Wednesday.

This means that the Naira gained N1.64 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.

Meanwhile at the black market, the Naira remained unchanged at N1,465 per dollar on Thursday, the same exchange rate recorded on Wednesday.

DAILY POST reports that except for Thursday, the Naira had recorded a bearish trend throughout the week, depreciating the most on Wednesday.

The apex bank’s foreign reserves data showed a continued rise to $43.42 billion as of November 12, 2025, up from $43.39 billion the previous day.
