Angola central bank cuts key rate by 100 basis points - REUTERS
LUANDA, Jan 14 (Reuters) – Angola’s central bank cut its main interest rate by 100 basis points to 17.50% on Wednesday.
The decision follows 50 basis point rate cuts at the Bank of Angola’s last two monetary policy meetings.
Inflation has fallen faster than expected in the Southern African oil-producing nation, reaching 15.70% year on year in December.
That is down from 27.50% in December 2024 and below the central bank’s end-2025 target of 17.50%.
