Naira appreciates against dollar at black market - DAILY POST

The Naira appreciated against the dollar at the parallel exchange market on Monday.

A Bureau de Change operator in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, Abubakar Alhasan, told DAILY POST that the Naira strengthened to N1650 per dollar on Monday from N1660 was recorded on Friday last week.

This showed that the Naira recorded a significant gain of N10 against the dollar compared to the N1660 exchange rate at the end of work last week.

Meanwhile, at the official, the Naira dropped slightly to N 1533.63 per dollar.

FMDQ data showed that the Naira gained to N1,533.63 against the dollar on Monday from N1,531.20 last Friday.

This means that the Naira lost N2.43 against the dollar at the black market on Monday.

DAILY POST reports that in the past months, the Naira had continued to experience mixed sentiments amid efforts by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
