Senegal’s international bonds climb on investors optimism over IMF deal - REUTERS

JOHANNESBURG, Jan 5 – Senegal’s international bonds rose more than two cents on Monday, Tradeweb data showed, on renewed investor optimism over a fresh International Monetary Fund lending programme.

The 2033 dollar-denominated bond gained to most, adding 2.3 cents to bid at 61.64 cents on the dollar. Euro-denominated bonds also rose more than 2 cents

Last week, the nation’s finance minister said the country hoped to finalize an IMF programme “very quickly”.
