CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield climbs - REUTERS
The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Tuesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.
The loonie was trading 0% lower at C$1.3926 to the greenback, or 71.81 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3918 to 1.3967.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields rose 5.2 basis points to 3.234%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.3922%.
U.S. December crude futures rose 74 cents to $68.78 a barrel on Tuesday.
The value of building permits in Canada rose 11.5% in September, Statistics Canada said.
