Canada, Mexico Currencies Rally on Signs of Tariff Relief - BLOOMBERG

The Canadian dollar and Mexican peso strengthened after US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick signaled President Donald Trump might walk back on some planned tariffs.
Both currencies jumped to session highs on the comments, extending a three-day gain amid a broad slump in the greenback. The loonie rose as much as 0.5%, while the peso climbed 1%. The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index slumped as much as 0.4%, down for a fourth session.
