March 6 (Reuters) - Investors maintained their short bets on most Asian currencies as they assessed the prospects of an escalating global trade war after U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs on major trading partners, a Reuters poll showed on Thursday.
Bearish positions on the Malaysian ringgit , the South Korean won , Taiwan dollar and the Indonesian rupiah firmed slightly from a fortnight ago, according to a poll of 11 respondents, while those on the Thai baht also ramped up.
