Barrons.com Oil Prices Drop as Iran Says U.S. Talks to Continue - BARRON'S
Oil fell early Monday after Iran said that talks with the U.S. would continue after a 'positive' meeting, which could potentially lead to an easing of sanctions on the oil-producing Middle Eastern country.
Iran and the U.S. concluded a new round of negotiations Saturday which Iranian officials described as a step forward. U.S. officials said there would be a U.S.-Iran meeting this week, but didn't offer details. Front-month WTI crude oil futures are down 2.4% at $62.46/bbl; front-month Brent crude oil futures are 2.3% lower at $66.40/bbl.
