Kenya’s inflation rises to 5.6% year-on-year in April
NAIROBI, April 29 (Reuters) – Kenya’s inflation rose to 5.6% year-on-year in April from 4.4% a month earlier, the statistics office said on Wednesday.
On a month-on-month basis inflation was 1.4% compared with 0.5% in March, the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The government targets year-on-year inflation of between 2.5% and 7.5% over the medium term.
