Kenya’s inflation steady at 4.6% year-on-year in October - REUTERS

OCTOBER 31, 2025

NAIROBI, Oct 31 (Reuters) – Kenya’s inflation was 4.6% year-on-year in October, the same as a month earlier, the statistics office said on Friday.

Month-on-month inflation was at 0.2% in October, the same rate as a month earlier, the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.

The government targets year-on-year inflation of between 2.5% and 7.5% in the medium term.

Earlier this month, the central bank cut its benchmark lending rate to 9.25% from 9.50% previously, saying there was room to ease monetary policy further as inflation remains well within its target range.
