Naira slips, trades at N1,366.7/$ at official FX market - NIGERIAN TRIBUNE

The Nigerian naira depreciated against the United States (US) dollar, trading at N1,366.7140 at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official foreign exchange (FX) window on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

The data shared on the CBN’s official platform shows that the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate of N1,366.7140 per dollar and closed at N1,366.5000 per dollar.

The currency, which traded at an NFEM rate of N1365.5303 on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, slightly depreciated by at least N1.18 after trading activities on Wednesday.

At the parallel market, the buying rate appreciated by N2 while the selling rate remained the same when compared to the previous trading rate on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

According to AbokiFX, the Naira-to-dollar exchange rate at the black market on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, was N1,403 per dollar for the buying rate and N1,410 per dollar for the selling rate.
