Naira strengthens at official FX market

The Nigerian naira strengthened against the United States (US) dollar, trading at N1,379.6742 at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official foreign exchange (FX) window on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

The data shared on the CBN’s official platform shows that the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate of N1,379.6742 per dollar and closed at N1,376.0000 per dollar.

The currency, which traded at an NFEM rate of N1,383.6262 on Monday, June 29, 2026, has appreciated slightly by at least N3.95 after trading activities on Tuesday.

At the parallel market, the buying rate appreciated by N5 while the selling rate appreciated by N10 when compared to the previous trading rate on Monday, June 29, 2026.

According to AbokiFX, the Naira-to-dollar exchange rate at the black market on Tuesday, June 29, 2026, was N1,395 and N1,405 per dollar for the buying and selling rates, respectively.
