Naira trades at N1,373.7/$ at official FX market - NIGERIAN TRIBUNE

The Nigerian naira depreciated slightly against the United States (US) dollar, trading at N1,373.7004 at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official foreign exchange window on Monday, 19th May 2026.

The data shared on the official platform of the CBN shows that the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate of  N1,373.7004 per dollar and closed at N1,373.5000 per dollar.

Tribune Online reports that the Nigerian currency on Friday, 15th May, 2026, traded at an NFEM rate of N1,371.0391. Comparing this with the trading rate on Monday, 18th May, 2026,  the Nigerian currency depreciated by at least N2.    

At the parallel market, the naira-to-dollar buying rate increased by N2, while the selling rate remained the same when compared with the previous trading rate on 15th May, 2026.

According to AbokiFX, the Naira-to-dollar exchange rate at the black market on Monday, 18th May, 2026, was N1,395 and N1,400 per dollar for the buying and selling rate, respectively.
