Nigerian currency appreciates significantly - DAILY POST

The naira appreciated significantly against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Monday, resuming the week on a positive note.
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the naira strengthened to N1,365.25 against the dollar on Monday, up from N1,374.94 traded on Thursday last week.
This means the naira gained N9.69 against the dollar during the period under review.
At the black market, the naira remained flat at N1,395 per dollar on Monday, the same rate recorded on Friday.
The development comes as the country’s foreign reserves stood at $48.36 billion as of April 30, 2026.
Recall that on Thursday, the naira appreciated against the dollar at the official market to end the week on a positive note.
