The Nigerian naira depreciated slightly against the United States (US) dollar, trading at N1,353.9081 at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official foreign exchange window on Thursday, 23rd April, 2026.

The data uploaded on the CBN’s official platform show the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate of N1,353.9081 per dollar and closed at N1,355.0000 per dollar.

Comparing this rate to that of Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026, when the Nigerian currency traded at N1,348.4492, the Nigerian currency appreciated slightly by at least N5.  

At the parallel market, the naira-to-dollar exchange rate for the buying rate remained the same while the selling rate decreased by N3 when compared with the previous trading rate on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026.

According to Aboki FXy, the Naira-to-dollar exchange rate at the black market on Thursday, 23rd April, 2026, was N1,390 and N1,395 per dollar for buying and selling rates, respectively.
