Nigerian currency depreciates - DAILY POST

The Naira depreciated against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira weakened to N1,366.56 per dollar on Tuesday from N1,365.25 exchanged on Monday. This means that at the official market, the Naira dropped by N1.3 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.

Meanwhile, at the black market, the Naira report remained unchanged at N1,395 against the dollar on Tuesday, the same rate recorded the previous day.

Regarding the country’s external reserves, the apex bank data showed that they stood at $48,36 billion as of April 30, 2026.

Recall that on Monday, the Naira began the week on a good note with over N9 gain against the dollar.
